In 2012 Iceland Air launched direct flights to Reykjavik from Seattle, Denver and Boston. The problem was Iceland wasn’t on anyone’s travel radar.

THE BRIEF:
Get Americans interested in traveling to Iceland by giving them a taste of the cool cultural experiences Iceland has to offer.

THE SOLUTION:
Although Iceland only has a population of 328,000 citizens, the country boasts the most musicians and published authors per capita and some of the most innovative chefs in the world. We produced “Taste of Iceland” a cultural exchange campaign that brought Iceland’s incredible musicians, chefs and artists to cities across the country.

THE RESULTS:
Through partnerships with local radio stations, restaurants and cultural destinations, we reached thousands of individuals in each market and landed hundreds of media stories in year one. The campaign has run for 8+ years. Iceland is now considered a top travel destination and has seen a 76% increase in U.S. tourism.
